Geek Inspired Wedding Favours
If the two of you love your technology and cannot go anywhere without your Blackberry or iPad, then why not give your wedding favors a geek inspired theme? After all every element of your wedding day should say something about the two of you, so adding a little geekery, if that is what interests you, should leave your guests in no doubt that this wedding is all about you.
Here are just a few ideas:
- Go for miniature with mini digital picture key chains. These are very cheap to buy and can be bought in bulk from wholesalers and websites like Ebay. Upload a picture of the two of you so your guests won't forget were it came from!
- Go for edible favors and choose custom cookies made in the shape of iPhones, floppy disks, computers and MP3's!
- Or go for similar shapes made from candy, perhaps as lollipops!
- CD's are a popular choice as wedding favors, but why not take it a step further by giving your guests SD cards with photographs, videos and MP3 files on – even if they do not like your choices, they can at least wipe them and use them for something else!
- For something a little more traditional but still with a geeky edge give your guests battery powered tea lights in different colors.
- How about mini camera's disguised as key chains or lighters?
- For something practical look for led torches with key chain attachments, useful for when your guests drop their car keys on a dark night!
- Give them something really fun which they can use later on in the form of finger laser beams. These natty little gadgets fit over a finger and flash colourful laser beams – imagine the floor show scene at your evening party!
- Or for something fun for the boys look for solar powered mini cars! They may sound expensive but in fact can be found very cheaply in bulk quantities online.
- Finally how about a USB vacuum cleaner for cleaning computer keyboard's etc – useful and fun!
- You could also inject a little geekery into your package such as using old floppy disks as thank you tags by punching a hole through one corner and writing your message on the label on the front.
There is a world of novelty gadget items that can be bought inexpensively and used as wedding favors. Look for wholesalers in countries like Japan and China where you can buy in bulk to save money.
